TrafficGauge

All I want for Christmas is a replacement for my TrafficGauge. Unfortunately TrafficGauge was forced to stop their service because their wireless provider was bought out and the new owner was unwilling to work with them. What a shame. TrafficGauge was such a nice gadget. I will truly miss it.

RIP TrafficGauge

Unfortunately TrafficGauge had to seize their service today. What will I do without this handy little gadget? None of the software solutions by other companies is as easy to use as this little hardware device. From now on I will definitely be stuck in traffic more frequently.

fix P2181 error code in 2004 VW Golf

Replacing the thermostat and the coolant temperature sensor got rid of the P2181 error code in my 2004 VW Golf. The coolant temperature sensor has to be the new green one; the old black one is prone to failure.

Annoying realtors

Why do realtors constantly ask the wrong question? It is ridiculous to ask the buyer how much he or she is willing to offer on a house. They should find out how much the person likes the property and then recommend an appropriate amount.

Opera browser issues

Why does Opera 10.53 still keep crashing and freezing all of my over 100 tabs in 10+ open windows. I was expecting that they would have independent processes for each tab or at least each window by now. It is ridiculous to run everything in one process, especially considering the issues with Adobe Flash. If they don’t fix this issue soon I will have no choice but to switch back to IE.

Arizona Immigration Enforcement Bill

Finally somebody starts doing something about illegal immigration by enforcing existing laws. I am happy to hear that the State of Arizona passed the Immigration Enforcement Bill. Hopefully other States will do the same. Here is some media coverage:

- Yahoo

Spokeo

Spokeo has always been amazing. However, it got even better with their new version. On top of lookup by e-mail address and ID it now also offers lookup by name and phone number.

The number of illegal immigrants can be reduced by simply enforcing existing laws - NO amnesty is necessary to solve the problem! Here are some statistics.
